- Mule deer name comes from the fact their ears are big like mules.
- They are from 3-3.5 feet tall at the shoulders.
- Length: 4.5-7 feet
- Tail is 5-8 inches long
- Weight: 130-280 pounds
- Females are smaller
- Lifespan is 9-11 years
- Males are called bucks, females are referred to as does and babies are fawns.
